You may get errors in @Chat, saying "Action required" and that you need to enable encryption. 


In order to meet SOC compliance, Google requires that devices must be encrypted and locked with a password that must be entered when turning on the device to decrypt it.  Here is how to enable encryption so that you can access your work apps again. 


1) Tap Settings (gear icon)


2) Tap Security


3) Tap Screen lock   

4) Enter your PIN


5) Tap Password at the bottom and enter a password that will be used to unlock the phone.  Do not forget this password.


6) Go back to Security   


7) Tap Secure startup

   

8) Tap "Require password to start device" and then apply


Launch @Chat to verify if it's working.  If you still see the "Action Required", no worries, just tap the "Proceed" button and follow the on-screen instructions.  Eventually, you'll see a screen that says "Syncing policies..." and that should sync your account with Google's servers and allow you access to your work apps once again.
